On the Water
Our Construction Standards
From father to son, the great tradition of boat building continues at Jupiter
Marine. Working together, this nautical family has created the latest innovations
in hull building technology.
Jupiter
boats are built to meet or exceed NMMA and U.S. Coast Guard standards. Our
boats are constructed with the same quality in materials and workmanship.
Function, durability and value are our primary concerns in building you one
of the safest boats on the water today.
Below the waterline, all Jupiter boats feature hardware which is either
316 marine grade stainless steel or chrome plated brass and all through hull
fittings are bronze fitted with seacocks.
Steering is hydraulic, and all wiring is color coded and numbered with
all connections heat-shrunk.
Our composite construction techniques use the latest technology plus some
Jupiter Marine innovations to create a unique boat and a safe, comfortable
ride.
Fiberglass components are hand-laid using multi-directional knitted glass,
sophisticated resins and high density PVC coring which are laminated in place
to obtain the maximum strength possible.
Another
Jupiter 31' boat emerges from its fiberglass mold creating a solid fiberglass
bottom for the water craft. Note the unique stern lifting strakes under the
vessels hull. They give the boat more stability than more traditional designs.
The boat will be outfitted with a "posi-stern hull pad" which reduces
drag and helps the boat turn sharper and increase fuel economy.
Our
solid fiberglass uni-grid stringer system and high density composite core
transom complete our "No Wood/ No Rot" construction on all outboard
models.
The deck is ready to be fitted to the hull. This is done both chemically
and mechanically utilizing heavy duty rubrail and stainless steel strikers.
A
new Jupiter Marine Boat is ready to enter the special painting area of our
factory.
